On this website, “Ladder” is usually a shorthand term for the Ladder of Divine Ascent, an ascetic text by St John of the Ladder, also known as St John Climacus.
(Note: references to the text of the Ladder on this website use the paragraph numbers found in the Holy Transfiguration Monastery edition, 2001.)
